about

Wojciech Brodziński, PhD

Master of Science in Astronomy, PhD in Physical Sciences (2020), since 2020 associated with the Faculty of Oceanography and Geography of the University of Gdańsk. His scientific interests include numerical modeling of physical processes occurring in the marine environment in order to better describe and understand them, as well as the use of satellite data in marine research. As part of teaching work, he conduct classes in general physics for students of oceanography and marine hydrography as well as more specialized classes in the field of satellite remote sensing and as part of the inter-university Marine Data Literacy course organized in the SEA-EU partnership.
about

Aleksandra Cupiał, PhD

Aleksandra Cupiał is a lecturer at the Division of Physical Oceanography at the University of Gdańsk. She works on long-term hindcasts of wind wave data from the Baltic Sea. Her focus is on the severe wave events in selected areas of the Baltic as well as on the relation of these phenomena to the changing climate. She is involved in a project that aims to increase the digital availability of the oceanographic data for the Baltic Sea.
about

Marta Misiewicz

Marta is involved in research on groundwater drainage in the deep-water part of the Bay of Puck. In order to better understand the variability of this phenomenon, she regularly conducts measurements and observations on board the R/V Oceanograf, combining her own research with conducting field classes for students. For two years, she has been associated with the University, where she works as an assistant, passionately developing both scientific and teaching activities.
about

Patryk Pezacki, PhD

From underwater drones to acoustic bottom mapping - he specializes in marine environment research. His doctoral thesis concerned the analysis of acoustic scattering on fish in the Bay of Puck. Experience in working on research vessels, using multibeam echosounder, sub-bottom profiler, side sonar, ADCP, split-beam echosounder and USBL underwater navigation.
